Over the last year, I’ve seen more people experimenting with the Evergreen or ‘9-post’ grid and having great results for less time spent creating content for Instagram - so I decided to give it a whirl!
Essentially, an Evergreen grid is nine posts that upload to your grid on Instagram which then remains static on your profile acting like a mini website. You can continue to post Reels, stories and build community and relationships through interacting with other people's accounts, but the pressure is off in terms of posting the relatively polished, time-consuming content on posts.
This online course runs you step-by-step through the process I went through to create my grid. And by the end you'll have your own Evergreen grid on Instagram which reflects your individuality and brand, and which engages clear target audiences who'll have an interest in your work.
This Instagram strategy is a great option for many writers who’d like to use the platform to find readers but don’t want the pressure of creating grid posts on an ongoing basis. But I've put the course together in a way that means it's also suitable for creatives working in any field, freelancers and small business owners.
It include seven video lessons of between eight and 20 minutes with actions to complete at the end of each which contribute towards the creation of your grid.
The first three lessons cover what content to include in your grid, looking at personal branding, audience insight and content themes. The great thing about these opening lessons is that you'll come out with content ideas you can use across all your marketing activity.
Lesson four onward cover the nuts, bolts and practicalities of putting your grid together, from what photographs and videos to take, to creating the images in Canva, to writing effective captions and alt text for your posts.
